Pay back, and add a fifth

Then they shall confess their sin which they have done: and he shall recompense his trespass with the principal thereof, and add unto it the fifth part thereof, and give it unto him against whom he hath trespassed.Numbers 5:7 · KJV
Confess, make restitution, forgive, start again.
The law said to confess, pay back what you took, and add a fifth more. That is the full amount plus twenty percent. Repair leaves the other person better off, not just even.

One fifth is twenty percent.
Pay back one thing you owe someone, and add a little more.
Only check it if you did it. Nobody sees this but you.
