Pay on time
Reads the lesson aloud on this device.
At his day thou shalt give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down upon it; for he is poor, and setteth his heart upon it: lest he cry against thee unto the LORD, and it be sin unto thee.Deuteronomy 24:15 · KJV
Work diligently; honest weights; wages on time.
A worker was to be paid the same day, before sunset. The worker is poor and counts on it. Holding back pay is a wrong that cries out to God.
Check 1The law allowed an employer to hold wages for a week.
It says pay before the sun goes down.
Check 2Why pay on time?
For he is poor, and setteth his heart upon it.
Pay anyone you owe for work this week, before they have to ask.
