Luke ends with the risen Jesus; John shows Thomas confessing; Acts opens with the Spirit and a people who share, heal, and speak. Paul later summarizes the message he received: Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose the third day, and was seen (1 Corinthians 15:3–8). Acts 2 shows that message preached in Jerusalem. Stage 1 ends with the gospel still going out in Rome (Acts 28). Stage 2 will begin the older story that this good news fulfills.
